Legion Commander vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Losing map control and the ability to farm is what defines this matchup for Weaver. The hero's entire survival kit, based on the invisibility from Shukuchi and the reset of Time Lapse, is completely nullified by Duel. Once Legion Commander commits with her ultimate, Weaver is locked in place and forced to fight, unable to escape or rewind the damage taken. Legion's Overwhelming Odds is also highly effective at clearing out the insects from The Swarm, denying Weaver the vision and armor reduction they provide and making it even harder for him to contribute.

This forces Weaver to play an extremely cautious game once Legion Commander acquires a Blink Dagger. He can’t split-push for farm or join fights aggressively without risking an instant Duel that his team might not be able to answer. This pressure often forces Weaver into building defensive items much earlier than he'd like, delaying his core damage output. For Legion Commander, the plan is simple: identify Weaver, jump on him to secure an easy Duel victory, and use that momentum to take control of the game.
