Leshrac vs Necrophos

How this matchup plays

Pushing down a lane against Necrophos can feel like a stalemate for Leshrac. Both heroes are excellent at clearing creep waves and sustaining their presence, which means neither tends to gain a significant map control or farm advantage over the other early on. Leshrac wants to apply constant pressure with Pulse Nova and Diabolic Edict, but Necrophos can often stand his ground and heal through the damage with Death Pulse. The real issue for Leshrac is that trying to secure a solo kill often requires him to get low on health, which plays directly into Reaper's Scythe. Necrophos can turn an aggressive play around instantly with a well-timed ultimate.

Later in the game, this dynamic shifts to teamfights. Leshrac provides a massive amount of sustained magic damage, while Necrophos provides sustain for his team and punishes anyone who gets focused down. It becomes a race. Can Leshrac's team burst a target before Necrophos can heal them or use his ultimate? Or does Necrophos find the perfect Reaper's Scythe on a core to swing the fight and shut down a buyback? Neither hero truly counters the other; instead, they create a tense standoff where the fight's outcome usually depends on the supporting cast's initiation and control.
