Leshrac vs Ogre Magi

How this matchup plays

Picking a hero that needs to run into the enemy team is tough when Ogre Magi is on the other side. Leshrac relies on staying alive in the middle of a fight to deal damage with Pulse Nova and Diabolic Edict. Ogre is naturally very durable and can easily survive Leshrac's initial burst. More importantly, he has multiple ways to lock Leshrac down. A single Fireblast can be enough to stop a push, and a Multicast stun often means Leshrac dies without getting his spells off. The low cooldown on Ogre's stun makes him a constant, reliable threat.

This problem starts in the lane, where Ogre can absorb pressure and slow Leshrac with Ignite, preventing aggressive moves. As the game goes on, Leshrac has to be extremely careful about his positioning. Committing to a teamfight means exposing himself to Ogre Magi's control. Leshrac will try to get a Black King Bar to play his game, but Ogre can often tank the BKB duration or simply wait it out. Ogre's team can play around him as a durable frontline who nullifies Leshrac’s main strength.
