Leshrac vs Tidehunter

How this matchup plays

Trying to counter a Leshrac with a tanky offlaner often comes down to this choice, and it's a true toss-up. Tidehunter’s Kraken Shell is a constant headache for Leshrac, as it purges the slow from Lightning Storm and generally makes him incredibly durable against the sustained magical damage from Pulse Nova. This forces Leshrac to either commit significant team resources to kill Tidehunter or ignore him entirely. At the same time, the sheer volume of damage Leshrac can output means Tidehunter can't simply stand in the middle of it forever, especially if his armor is reduced or he lacks backup.

The matchup often hinges on a single cooldown: Ravage. If Tidehunter can land his ultimate on Leshrac before he can react or get a Black King Bar active, the fight is usually won. Leshrac, on the other hand, wants to play on the edges of the fight, forcing Tidehunter to either overextend to reach him or use Ravage on a less critical target. The game becomes a cat-and-mouse of positioning and timing, where either hero can create a winning opportunity for their team depending on who executes their role better in the critical moments.
