Leshrac vs Viper

How this matchup plays

Facing Viper in lane is a constant battle for resources. Leshrac wants to spam his spells to farm and pressure, but Viper’s Nethertoxin shuts down the passives he relies on for mana and survivability from items. The constant corrosive damage over time also makes it very difficult for Leshrac to trade effectively. In return, Leshrac has superior wave clear with Diabolic Edict and Lightning Storm, which he can use to shove the lane and escape into the jungle to farm, avoiding a direct confrontation. The lane often becomes a stalemate where neither hero can secure a solo kill without a mistake or a gank.

Later in the game, the matchup depends on who gets the jump. Viper excels at locking down a single priority target, and Viper Strike can easily catch and kill a Leshrac who is out of position. However, if Leshrac gets his Pulse Nova active in the middle of a teamfight and isn't focused down immediately, his sustained area damage can overwhelm Viper and his team. It comes down to whether Viper can isolate and burst Leshrac before Leshrac can build up momentum and run the fight over.
