How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by a Marci is a huge problem for a fragile hero like Lina. Marci’s entire kit is built to close gaps and lock down a single target. With Rebound and Dispose, she can get on top of Lina and prevent her from kiting or running away. Unleash then makes short work of Lina's low health pool. However, this aggression can be punished. A well-timed Light Strike Array can stop Marci in her tracks, setting her up to be burst down by Lina’s full spell combo. The fight is a quick, decisive affair where one hero often deletes the other.

This dynamic hinges on initiation and key items. Marci will look for a Black King Bar to ignore Lina’s stun and run at her freely. Lina, in turn, needs to itemize for survival, buying things like a Ghost Scepter or Force Staff to create distance when Marci commits. Later in the game, it's all about positioning. If Marci can find Lina on her own, it's an easy kill. If Lina stays safely behind her team, Marci's dive becomes a suicide mission. The outcome really depends on which hero gets to execute their game plan first.
