Getting jumped at night by a Night Stalker is a nightmare for a hero as fragile as Lina. He can close the distance almost instantly with his nighttime speed from Hunter in the Night, and Crippling Fear's silence means Lina can't get her spells off to stun or burst him down. Even if she anticipates the gank, his high movement makes landing a predictive Light Strike Array very difficult. Night Stalker's kit is built to find and eliminate a single target quickly, and Lina is often the perfect victim, lacking any inherent escape mechanism.

This dynamic defines the game from the first night onward. Night Stalker will actively hunt Lina, forcing her to play defensively and stay close to her towers or supports.
