Lina vs Outworld Destroyer

How this matchup plays

Farming near Outworld Destroyer often feels like a stalemate. You can’t reliably secure kills on him to snowball because his Astral Imprisonment gives him a perfect tool to dodge your combo. He can simply banish himself to avoid the Light Strike Array or wait out the damage from Laguna Blade, completely denying your burst potential. This forces you to play for farm rather than aggression. In return, Lina’s superior range and faster wave clear mean OD has a hard time pinning you down to trade with his Arcane Orb. Both heroes tend to get their items at a normal pace without being able to shut the other down.

This dynamic continues into teamfights, where the duel comes down to execution and cooldowns. If Outworld Destroyer uses his Astral to save a teammate, that’s your window to immediately blow him up. If you miss your stun, however, he can usually turn and win the fight. Both heroes are fragile and rely on getting the jump on the other. Because neither can reliably force an engagement on their own terms, the fights are usually decided by which player makes the first mistake or gets caught out of position by the rest of the team.
