Lina vs Omniknight

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst one of Omniknight's allies is a race against his reaction time. Lina needs to land Light Strike Array to set up her full magic damage combo, but Omniknight's Heavenly Grace provides an instant strong dispel. This can free her stunned target, allowing them to reposition or use an item before Laguna Blade finishes them off. The status resistance from the same spell also shortens the duration of any follow-up disables from Lina's team, often giving the target just enough time to survive what would otherwise be a guaranteed kill.

The entire matchup hinges on these small windows of opportunity. If Lina gets the jump from fog or chains her stun off an ally's disable, she can often delete a hero before Omniknight can even turn to help. But if Omniknight is positioned well and anticipates the aggression, he can completely nullify Lina's initiation attempt on a key core. Later in the game, Lina can pivot to physical damage which Omniknight's kit is less suited to handle, but his Guardian Angel can still protect his team from her attacks, creating a standoff where neither hero can easily secure an advantage.
