How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Clockwerk is usually a death sentence for fragile heroes, but Lina has the tools to respond. Clockwerk wants to use Hookshot to get on top of her, then trap her with Power Cogs and Battery Assault. This is very effective, but Lina can turn the tables. A well-timed Light Strike Array can stop his initiation or create enough space to get away. The fight often comes down to who acts first; Clockwerk's surprise initiation versus Lina's preemptive stun.

Laning against Clockwerk can be a real problem, though Lina's long-range spells help her stay safe and secure farm. Later, the matchup revolves around vision and key items. A Force Staff or Eul's Scepter is almost mandatory for Lina to survive a Hookshot initiation. For Clockwerk, finding Lina isolated is his win condition. The outcome is less about the heroes themselves and more about team support. If Lina's team can save her, or if Clockwerk's team can follow up, that side usually wins the fight. It's a true test of execution.
