How this matchup plays

Getting caught by Riki is often a death sentence for Lina. His entire kit feels designed to dismantle hers. When Riki finds her, he can use Blink Strike to get on top of her instantly and drop Smoke Screen. Inside that cloud, Lina is silenced and misses her attacks. This means she can't cast Light Strike Array to stun him or use Laguna Blade to burst him down. She has no built-in escape mechanism, and her low health pool means she rarely survives long enough for the silence to wear off. He completely neutralizes her ability to fight back.

This pressure forces Lina to alter her entire game plan. Instead of farming aggressively to hit her item timings, she has to play cautiously near her team and towers. Riki can be anywhere, turning every jungle camp and empty lane into a potential trap. This forces the Lina player to invest in expensive defensive items like a Force Staff or Eul's Scepter earlier than she'd like, which in turn delays the point where she becomes a major damage threat. Riki dictates the terms of engagement, and the burden is entirely on Lina to survive his initiation.
