Catching Sand King with Light Strike Array is the core challenge for Lina. A good Sand King player will hold Burrowstrike specifically to dodge the incoming stun, then use that same spell to close the distance and counter-initiate. This can leave Lina completely exposed, especially if he follows up with Epicenter inside a Sand Storm. On the flip side, if Sand King ever wastes his Burrowstrike offensively, he becomes a much easier target for Lina to kite and burst down. The entire fight often hinges on who uses their key mobility and stun spells more effectively.

This dynamic shapes the whole game. Lina has to play from the edges of a fight, respecting the threat of a Blink Dagger initiation and relying on her team to provide vision and initial lockdown. She can’t afford to be the one starting a fight against him. Sand King plays a game of patience, looking for that one moment where Lina steps too far forward.
