Lina vs Shadow Demon

How this matchup plays

Trying to save an ally from Lina with Disruption is a real gamble. Lina's burst damage comes out so quickly that Shadow Demon often doesn't have time to get the spell off before the target is already dead from Laguna Blade. If he does manage to banish the target, Lina can simply switch her focus. The illusions Shadow Demon creates are also completely cleared by a single Dragon Slave, turning one of his key setup tools into a purely defensive move that might not even work in time.

Across the game, this dynamic means Lina can often hunt for kills without fearing Shadow Demon as a primary obstacle. She will try to initiate on him directly, knowing he's fragile and can't save himself. A successful Shadow Demon has to play from the fog, anticipating Lina's aggression and being ready to react instantly. It’s a tough position for him, because if he reveals himself to set up his own plays, Lina can usually turn and kill him before he makes a real impact.
