Lina vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a core from full health is what Lina does best, but that entire sequence fails against Wraith King. She can land her full combo and use Laguna Blade, only for him to immediately stand back up thanks to Reincarnation. This leaves Lina with her longest cooldowns spent and a major threat still in the fight. Since he revives with a full mana pool, Wraith King is often ready to stun and retaliate right away, turning what should have been a successful pick-off into a disaster for Lina’s team. His kit fundamentally invalidates her primary contribution.

This dynamic makes mid-game teamfights incredibly difficult for Lina. Wraith King can play aggressively, walking straight at her team and forcing them to commit spells to kill him the first time. Once he revives, Lina is a vulnerable target with no ultimate to defend herself or finish him off. Her only option is to try and kite him while killing his more fragile teammates, but this is a difficult task when he's creating so much space and pressure. He essentially acts as a sponge for her most important spell, nullifying her impact whenever he's the priority target.
