Applying Corrosive Haze to a fragile hero like Lina makes her melt to physical attacks. Slardar is a natural Blink Dagger carrier whose main job is initiating on high-value targets in the back, and Lina fits that description perfectly. He can often Blink in and land Slithereen Crush before Lina has time to react with her own delayed Light Strike Array. This allows him to lock her down and apply his armor reduction, making it very difficult for her to survive the initial burst from Slardar and his team.

As the game progresses, Slardar is always hunting for that perfect jump. Lina's survival depends entirely on her positioning and having vision of him before he commits. She needs to stay far back and be ready to use items like a Force Staff or Eul's Scepter to create space or dodge his stun. If Slardar's initial jump is unsuccessful or telegraphed, Lina has the range to kite him and fight back effectively. This dynamic puts the pressure on Lina to play flawlessly, giving Slardar a small but consistent edge.
