Lina vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Catching Slark is a test of execution for Lina. Her entire burst combo hinges on landing Light Strike Array, but Slark can often dodge it with Pounce or purge the stun with a well-timed Dark Pact. If Lina fails to lock him down, he can easily turn the fight, as she has no natural escape once he's on top of her. The interaction is a pure reaction check: Lina needs to land her stun and unload her damage before Slark can press his defensive buttons. Whoever messes up their timing is likely the one who dies.

This duel plays out across the whole game. A Slark with an initiation item can hunt Lina relentlessly, but a Lina with a Eul's Scepter or Blink Dagger can create the space she needs to survive or set up her own combo. It becomes a game of vision control and positioning. Late-game fights depend on who gets the jump. Lina can delete Slark if she initiates with an item like Scythe of Vyse, but if Slark finds her first, his Shadow Dance makes him impossible to target with Laguna Blade, and she'll fall quickly.
