Lina vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a full combo on a key target is where Lina feels the most pressure from Techies. The AoE silence from Blast Off is timed to interrupt her spell sequence, leaving her out of position without her damage. Techies also litters the map with Proximity Mines, making it dangerous for a fragile hero like Lina to move between lanes or farm jungle camps. The constant threat of getting blown up or silenced turns her normally aggressive playstyle into a liability.

This forces Lina to play much more cautiously than she would like, starting from the laning stage. The game becomes a race for her to acquire a Black King Bar to play through the silence and potential disarms from Reactive Tazer. A successful Lina will rely on her team to de-mine objectives and secure vision, allowing her to find an opening. Techies, meanwhile, will focus on defensive setups and using Blast Off on reaction to shut down Lina's initiation whenever a fight breaks out.
