Lina vs Treant Protector

How this matchup plays

Picking a target for Lina's burst combo becomes complicated when a Treant Protector is on the other team. The global protection from Living Armor can arrive mid-combo, pushing a hero out of kill range right before the Laguna Blade hits. This forces Lina to either over-commit her resources or try to find a target completely isolated from Treant's influence. Trying to burst Treant himself is usually not an option, as his natural durability allows him to survive her full spell rotation and walk away.

This dynamic creates a constant tug-of-war in teamfights. Lina needs to find and delete a hero instantly, while Treant is always looking for the Overgrowth to lock her down or save her intended victim. Success for either hero often depends on which team has better vision and initiation. If Lina can get the jump on a core before the fight properly starts, her team gets an advantage. If Treant anticipates her move and gets his spells off first, her entire purpose in the fight can be negated.
