Lina vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a full combo on a key target is Lina's main goal, but Vengeful Spirit's Nether Swap turns this completely on its head. A single button press from Venge can pull Lina from her safe backline position right into the middle of the enemy team, where she'll be instantly focused and killed. Before that ultimate is even available, Magic Missile provides a reliable stun to interrupt Lina's casting, and Wave of Terror's armor reduction makes her even more fragile. It’s ironic, as Vengeful Spirit often uses Swap to save her own fragile cores, but against Lina it becomes a premier initiation tool.

This dynamic forces Lina to play scared for the entire game. During the laning stage, Vengeful Spirit can constantly threaten her with stuns and harass. Once teamfights begin, Lina is effectively zoned out by the threat of being swapped. She can’t step forward to cast her spells without risking immediate death, which severely limits her damage output. Lina's team has to try and jump on Venge first or provide saves like Force Staffs and Glimmer Capes, while Venge's team simply has to wait for her to find the right moment to isolate and eliminate Lina from the fight.
