Lone Druid vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Picking a melee carry that needs to stay on a target into Lone Druid is a tough proposition. Ursa's whole game plan is to get close and build up Fury Swipes with Overpower, but Lone Druid naturally splits his attention. The Spirit Bear can root Ursa with Entangling Claws, stopping his chase cold. If Ursa manages to close the gap on the hero form, a well-timed Savage Roar forces him to run away, completely wasting his Enrage or Blink Dagger commitment. Ursa simply can't stick to either target long enough to be effective.

This problem gets worse for Ursa as the game goes on. His typical solo pickoff style is nullified because ganking Lone Druid means dealing with two targets that can disable and kite him. In teamfights, if Ursa commits to the bear, he's hitting a tanky unit while the ranged hero form pelts him from a safe distance. If he goes for the hero, the bear will root him and beat him down. Ursa has to hope his team provides overwhelming lockdown on both units at once, otherwise Lone Druid is always going to have an answer.
