Marci vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Pangolier often feels like you're fighting a ghost. Marci wants to commit with Dispose and Unleash to lock down and eliminate a single target, but Pangolier's entire kit is built to avoid that. He can use Swashbuckle to create distance or Shield Crash to hop away from her stun and reduce her damage. If Marci does manage to get on top of him and use Unleash, Pangolier can often simply activate Rolling Thunder, becoming spell immune and knocking her away to completely negate her ultimate.

The result is a very awkward dance in practice. Fights between Marci and Pangolier are decided by cooldowns and who gets the initial drop. If Marci can catch him silenced or without his spells, he's fragile and goes down fast. But if Pangolier baits out her commitment, he can turn the fight easily. It's a matchup of feints and reactions where neither hero can comfortably initiate on the other. This lack of clear setup potential explains why they struggle to find an advantage against each other, and similarly, why they often fail to work well on the same team.
