Marci vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Marci is a problem, but having a Pudge nearby offers solutions. Pudge has enough health to survive her initial Unleash burst, and his kit is great for interrupting her aggression. A well-timed Meat Hook can pull Marci's target to safety, while Dismember will lock her down and turn the gank against her. On the other hand, Marci's Dispose can throw Pudge out of position, ruining his hook angles or saving an ally he is trying to disable. This creates an unpredictable trade of saves and lockdown where timing is everything, leading to a very even fight.

The matchup often comes down to which hero initiates. If Pudge hooks Marci while she's setting up a gank with Rebound, she's in serious trouble. But if Marci gets a clean jump on one of Pudge's allies, he has to react perfectly. This forces Marci to be careful about her targets; going on Pudge himself is usually a mistake due to his durability. This means she has to expose herself to Pudge's counter-initiation to reach the backline, creating a positioning duel that can swing either way based on a single cooldown.
