Marci vs Skywrath Mage

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map often comes down to which of these two heroes gets to play their game. Marci wants to get on top of Skywrath Mage with Rebound and kill him before he can react. If she can land the stun, her burst damage is usually enough to remove him from the fight instantly. Skywrath's counterplay is to see her coming and land an Ancient Seal. The silence won't stop her from using items, but it does prevent her from casting Unleash or chaining other abilities, buying him crucial time to create distance or have his team collapse.

This back-and-forth makes early skirmishes incredibly volatile. If Marci can consistently find and eliminate Skywrath, his team loses a huge source of magical damage and lane pressure. He's forced to play passively, ceding farm and objective control. But if Skywrath and his allies have good vision and can catch Marci's initiation, they can turn her aggression into a quick death. The fight becomes about who gets the jump, as both heroes have a clear way to win the one-on-one but struggle badly if they're the one caught out of position.
