Marci vs Slardar

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Marci is often a death sentence, but Slardar has all the right tools to turn it around. He's naturally tough enough to survive her initial Rebound combo. More importantly, Corrosive Haze completely shreds her armor, making the lifesteal from Sidekick almost useless as she melts to physical attacks. If Marci tries to stand her ground with Unleash, Slardar can interrupt her with Slithereen Crush or his passive Bash, stopping her from getting the full flurry of attacks off. She simply can't trade blows effectively once his ultimate is online.

This dynamic makes Marci a priority target all game. Slardar's goal becomes simple: Blink in, apply Corrosive Haze, and let his team focus her down. This forces Marci into a difficult position. She can't initiate safely, and even building a Black King Bar doesn't solve the core problem of Haze piercing magic immunity. She's often relegated to using Dispose defensively, trying to save teammates instead of setting up kills. Slardar fundamentally breaks Marci's aggressive game plan and turns her into a liability.
