Marci vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Trying to jump a hero as Marci usually relies on bursting them down before help arrives. Undying makes this plan awkward; he's too durable to be a primary target, and dropping a Tombstone in the middle of her Unleash combo clogs the area with zombies. Decay saps the strength she needs to deal damage and survive the fight. However, Marci has good answers. She can use Dispose to throw Undying out of position, or simply turn and destroy the Tombstone very quickly with her flurry of attacks.

This leaves fights hinging on positioning and timing. If Marci can find a pickoff away from Undying, her game plan works fine. If the fight starts and Undying gets his Tombstone down in a good spot, her ability to dive the back line is severely limited. She might be forced to use Rebound to escape the zombie swarm instead of initiating with it. The matchup often feels like both heroes are trying to execute their plan while ignoring the other, and the winner is whoever gets to dictate the terms of the engagement.
