Marci vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Jumping on Weaver as Marci seems straightforward, but it's rarely a clean kill. Weaver has several ways to disrupt the combo. He can use Time Lapse to undo the initial stun from a Rebound or escape after being thrown by Dispose. Shukuchi also lets him reposition or turn invisible, making it difficult for Marci to land a full Unleash combo without detection. For the kill to be secure, Marci needs to chain her lockdown perfectly, often with a teammate's silence or stun to prevent Weaver from slipping away.

Early laning can be tough for Weaver if Marci is playing support, as a single successful initiation can lead to a kill. Once Weaver gets his core items and levels, however, the dynamic equalizes. In teamfights, Weaver's goal is to poke from the edges and avoid Marci's initiation entirely. Marci, in turn, will look for ambush opportunities from the fog, ideally with Dust or a sentry ward already in place. The outcome of any given fight often depends on which hero gets the jump on the other and whether they have the backup needed to finish the job.
