Meepo vs Shadow Fiend

How this matchup plays

Fighting for farm across the map defines this matchup, as both heroes can clear waves and jungle camps extremely quickly. The direct confrontation comes down to a simple trade of abilities. Shadow Fiend can punish grouped-up Meepo clones heavily with Shadowraze, and a well-placed Requiem of Souls can potentially wipe out the entire hero. Meepo, on the other hand, excels at locking a single target down. If he can catch Shadow Fiend with an Earthbind, he can usually follow up with enough Poof damage to secure a kill before SF can get his ultimate off.

This creates a constant cat-and-mouse game. Meepo will look for pickoffs on a solo Shadow Fiend to build a lead and take map control. Shadow Fiend's goal is to keep farming safely, get a core item that helps him survive the initial burst, and then position for a teamfight where his area damage can shine.
