Mirana vs Muerta

How this matchup plays

Trying to fight a Muerta during her ultimate can feel impossible for many heroes. While Pierce the Veil makes her immune to physical attacks, she takes full magic damage, which is where Mirana's kit shines. A well-timed Starstorm can burst Muerta down even when she thinks she's safe. Mirana also has the mobility from Leap to dodge the fear from Dead Shot or reposition out of The Calling, giving her the tools to survive Muerta's initial assault and turn the fight around.

This means a good Mirana player can hold their spells to specifically counter Muerta's big teamfight moment. A long-range Sacred Arrow can prevent the ultimate from ever being used, but even if it is, the follow-up burst is still there. The fight isn't one-sided, however. If Muerta manages to get the jump on Mirana and land her spells first, she can still secure the kill. It often comes down to positioning and who gets to act first, but Mirana has a more direct answer to Muerta's core plan.
