Mirana vs Necrophos

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Necrophos often feels like a mistake. Mirana’s game plan is frequently built around landing a Sacred Arrow for a quick kill, but Necrophos is designed to survive that initial hit and turn the fight around. His Heartstopper Aura constantly drains health from anyone nearby, making it hard to commit, and he can use Ghost Shroud to negate the physical follow-up damage from Mirana and her allies. He excels at turning a potential pickoff into a messy, prolonged engagement that favors his sustained damage and healing.

This dynamic forces Mirana to change her approach. She can’t treat Necrophos like a typical target for her aggression. Instead of trying to hunt him, a smart Mirana player will use Leap to create distance and find better opportunities on the map, focusing on his more fragile teammates. If Mirana can’t avoid him, she has to wait for him to be silenced or for his key defensive spells to be on cooldown. Otherwise, attacking him first is usually a losing trade that leaves her team drained and vulnerable to Reaper's Scythe.
