Mirana vs Shadow Fiend

How this matchup plays

Trying to bully Mirana out of lane with Shadowraze often backfires. Shadow Fiend has to stand relatively still to farm and aim his spells, making him a predictable target. A well-aimed Sacred Arrow from the fog can completely disrupt his laning stage. Mirana can also use Leap to dodge one of the Razes in a combo, which lets her win the trade or escape danger. While a skilled SF can still dominate the lane through superior creep control, he is constantly playing under the threat of that long-range stun, which gives Mirana the initiative.

As the game progresses, this dynamic continues. Moonlight Shadow creates constant pick-off pressure on a Shadow Fiend who needs to farm aggressively to keep his damage relevant. He’s forced to play more cautiously, which can slow down his item progression. The entire game for him becomes about anticipating where Mirana might be and what angle the Arrow could come from. For Mirana, the pressure isn't as high; she can afford to miss some arrows. She only needs one good one to set up a kill on a core who typically has no built-in escape.
