Mirana vs Nyx Assassin

How this matchup plays

Hunting for a solo Mirana is Nyx Assassin's main goal. Vendetta allows him to close the distance for an Impale, and while Mana Burn isn't a major source of damage against her, it can empty the pool she needs for Leap or Starstorm. The real checkmate ability is Spiked Carapace. If Mirana tries to burst him with Starstorm, a well-timed Carapace will reflect the damage and stun her, turning his gank into a simple kill. This creates a dangerous mind game where Mirana is forced to respect a missing Nyx or risk getting caught.

The pressure stays on Mirana to play with good vision and awareness of Nyx Assassin’s position. A preemptive Leap can escape the initial gank, but it requires sharp reflexes. In larger fights, Nyx will try to break invisibility on top of Mirana to eliminate her before she can get her spells off. Her best response is to stay close to allies who can save her or turn on Nyx once he reveals himself. Because the outcome of their duels depends so heavily on who gets the jump on whom, the matchup often feels like it could go either way.
