Mirana vs Phoenix

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a Supernova egg is a real test for Mirana. Her Starstorm provides a good chunk of initial magic damage, and her follow-up attacks can be significant. However, Phoenix can completely shut this down by landing Fire Spirits before his ultimate. The attack speed slow makes it incredibly difficult for Mirana to finish the job with right-clicks before the stun goes off. Both heroes also have great mobility with Leap and Icarus Dive, allowing them to dodge each other's spells and reset engagements, which keeps the dynamic fairly even.

Throughout the game, this matchup is all about positioning and timing. Mirana is always looking for a long-range Sacred Arrow to interrupt Phoenix's Sun Ray, which can be a huge swing in a teamfight. In return, Phoenix uses his mobility to juke arrows and find a good angle for his own spells. Ultimately, fights often come down to which hero has better support. Mirana needs allies to help secure the Supernova kill if she’s slowed, while Phoenix relies on his team to follow up on the stun. Neither hero consistently dominates the other without help.
