Trying to burst a Puck is usually frustrating due to Phase Shift, which dodges most incoming spells. Mirana bypasses this with Starstorm, applying area damage that Puck can’t easily avoid. While Sacred Arrow is a skillshot that a good Puck player can dodge, it’s a constant threat. If any of Mirana’s allies provide a setup stun, a long-range Arrow is often a death sentence for a fragile hero like Puck. This gives Mirana’s team a reliable way to finish a target that normally slips away.

The dynamic creates a tense game for both heroes. Mirana wants to use Moonlight Shadow to hunt the Puck, forcing out cooldowns or securing a pickoff before a fight begins. In response, Puck needs to initiate carefully, using Waning Rift’s silence to prevent Mirana from using Leap to escape a Dream Coil or reposition. It’s less of a direct counter and more a case where Mirana has the specific tools to punish the evasive playstyle Puck relies on, forcing the Puck to play with more caution than it would prefer.
