Mirana vs Skywrath Mage

How this matchup plays

Gaining control of the map often comes down to which of these two gets the first spell off. Skywrath Mage has a simple goal: land Ancient Seal on Mirana. The silence prevents her from using Leap to escape, making her an easy target for Mystic Flare. Because he’s so fragile, however, a single Sacred Arrow from Mirana is usually a death sentence for Skywrath. This makes their encounters a very tense duel. Mirana is trying to connect a stun or dodge his incoming damage, while Skywrath is trying to lock her down before she can react.

This back-and-forth makes fights very volatile. A Mirana with good reflexes can use Leap to dodge the initial burst and either turn the fight or simply escape. Her Moonlight Shadow can also set up an easy pick-off on Skywrath before he even knows what's happening. In response, Skywrath has to play carefully with vision, often waiting for Mirana to use her Leap aggressively before he commits. The outcome of any skirmish between them really depends on which player has better positioning and faster reactions in that specific moment.
