Mirana vs Slardar

How this matchup plays

Slardar's entire game plan relies on running at a target with Guardian Sprint to apply Corrosive Haze. Against most heroes this is a death sentence, but Mirana has Leap to instantly create distance. This forces Slardar to either overextend or abandon the chase. The trade-off is that hitting a sprinting Slardar with Sacred Arrow is very difficult, and if he does manage to get on top of Mirana, Slithereen Crush can hold her down long enough for his team to finish her off. The interaction becomes a test of positioning and reflexes.

This volatility defines their encounters across the game. A successful gank from Slardar can completely shut Mirana down, as she's too fragile to survive being focused with low armor. Conversely, Mirana can often scout Slardar's aggression and turn it around with a clutch Arrow for her own team to follow up on. The outcome usually depends on vision and who gets the jump. If Mirana has teammates to save her or capitalize on her setup, Slardar's go-button style of initiation becomes a huge liability.
