Mirana vs Tidehunter

How this matchup plays

Setting up a gank with a long-range Sacred Arrow is much less reliable against Tidehunter. His Kraken Shell passive can purge the stun entirely if he takes enough damage, spoiling the follow-up that's needed to secure a kill. Even without the dispel, Tidehunter is naturally so durable that he can often survive Mirana’s full burst combination and simply walk away. This makes him a very unappealing target for her, as she typically excels at deleting heroes who are caught out of position, not chipping away at a frontline wall.

This forces Mirana to adjust her game plan. During the mid-game, she's better off ignoring Tidehunter and using Moonlight Shadow to find his squishier allies. The danger is that a failed gank can be turned around hard by a Ravage if Tidehunter is nearby to respond. Mirana is slippery enough with Leap to stay safe in larger teamfights, but she has to play from the edges and always respect his initiation threat. The matchup isn't about her being unable to function, but about him invalidating her preferred way of starting a fight.
