Mirana vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Landing a Sacred Arrow on Warlock is usually a kill. He’s slow and has no escape, so any long-duration stun often leads to his death. However, this also creates the exact situation Warlock wants: heroes clumping together to secure a kill. A quick Fatal Bonds followed by Chaotic Offering can completely reverse an attempted gank, even if Warlock dies in the process. Mirana's mobility from Leap lets her play around his spells, but her teammates are often not so lucky.

The whole game hinges on which team dictates the engagement. Mirana's side will use Moonlight Shadow to try and find Warlock out of position and burst him down before he can cast anything. Warlock’s team, in turn, will stay grouped, daring the initiation and trusting him to turn the fight with a single ultimate. If Mirana's team commits too hard, they risk getting stuck in Upheaval while a Golem tears through them. Success comes down to who lands their key spell first.
