How this matchup plays

Facing off against a Pangolier presents a puzzle for Muerta that has no easy solution. His mobility from Swashbuckle allows him to consistently dodge Dead Shot and reposition around The Calling. When Muerta commits her ultimate, Pierce the Veil, Pangolier doesn't try to fight her head-on. Instead, he uses his own spells to disengage or mitigate her damage. He can Swashbuckle to create space, use Shield Crash to reduce some of the incoming magic damage, or simply activate Rolling Thunder to run away or stun her from an unexpected angle. His kit is built to survive her burst, but not to directly overpower it.

This dynamic creates a constant stalemate. Muerta needs to catch Pangolier without his cooldowns, often with help from her team's stuns, before she can use her ultimate effectively. Pangolier's goal is to avoid her entirely, using his mobility to disrupt her teammates while she's in her ethereal form. He forces her to choose between chasing him and protecting her allies. Because neither hero has a reliable way to force a winning fight against the other, the outcome often depends on which player makes the first mistake or whose team provides better setup.
