Muerta vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Using Dismember on Muerta during her ultimate is often enough to secure the kill. While Pierce the Veil makes her ethereal and immune to physical attacks, it does nothing to stop Pudge from holding her in place with his own ultimate. This lockdown not only deals heavy magic damage on its own but also opens her up to follow-up spells from his allies while she's helpless. Instead of being an elusive magical damage dealer, Muerta becomes a stationary target waiting to be burst down. The core of her teamfight contribution is directly answered by Pudge's most reliable ability.

This dynamic forces Muerta to play with constant fear of being caught. Pudge doesn't even need to land a perfect Hook; he can wait for her to commit with Pierce the Veil and then blink in for the Dismember. Muerta is pressured into buying defensive items like a Linken's Sphere far earlier than she'd like, which delays her damage output and slows her scaling. This allows Pudge to dictate her positioning from the mid-game onward, making it difficult for her to play aggressively without a teammate ready to save her from him.
