Using Pierce the Veil against Queen of Pain is a huge gamble. While Muerta gains physical immunity, she takes bonus magic damage, making her a prime target for Scream of Pain and Sonic Wave. An ulting Muerta can get deleted instantly if Queen of Pain gets the jump on her. However, the reverse is also true. Muerta's Dead Shot provides a fear that can interrupt Queen of Pain’s spell combo, and The Calling can silence her, preventing a Blink escape. The engagement often comes down to which hero can land their spells first to control the other.
