Getting caught out as Muerta is a death sentence against Skywrath Mage. Her ultimate, Pierce the Veil, is supposed to be a major power spike for fighting physical carries, but it turns her into a perfect target for him. The Ethereal form makes her take amplified magic damage, which is exactly what Skywrath's entire kit delivers. He can silence her with Ancient Seal, which further increases the magic damage she takes, and then unload everything before she can react. Without a natural escape, Muerta can't get away from his slow and constant barrage of spells, forcing her to play passively all game.
