How this matchup plays

Activating Pierce the Veil can feel like a trap when facing Treant Protector. His Overgrowth roots Muerta through both magic immunity and her ethereal state, leaving her completely exposed to his team's follow-up damage. This interaction can single-handedly neutralize her biggest teamfight contribution. Outside of that ultimate, however, the dynamic often flips. Muerta can typically stay at a safe distance and shoot Treant down, using her magical damage to bypass the high armor from Living Armor. The outcome of their encounters hinges almost entirely on whether Treant can land a good Overgrowth before Muerta or her team can burst him, making fights between them very dependent on timing and cooldowns.
