Necrophos vs Omniknight

How this matchup plays

Playing against a Necrophos feels like a losing battle from the start for Omniknight. The constant health drain from Heartstopper Aura is a type of pressure Omniknight simply isn't equipped to handle. His kit is built around saving allies from large bursts of damage, but Necrophos applies slow, grinding damage to the entire enemy team that can't be dispelled by Heavenly Grace. Even Omniknight's ultimate, Guardian Angel, only provides immunity to physical attacks, leaving his team completely exposed to the magical damage from Death Pulse and the finishing blow of Reaper's Scythe.

This dynamic forces Omniknight into a reactive posture for the whole game. Instead of setting up kills, he’s constantly trying to heal through attrition that outpaces his resources. Fights become a race against time, with Necrophos methodically wearing everyone down until they are in kill range for his ultimate. Omniknight may be able to delay a death with a timely save, but Necrophos creates so many low-health targets that one is bound to fall. Necrophos gets to dictate the pace of the fight, while Omniknight can only try to mitigate the inevitable decay.
