Necrophos vs Ringmaster

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a target with Ringmaster's control spells often ends up helping the enemy Necrophos more than your own team. Heartstopper Aura constantly drains targets who are held in place, turning Ringmaster’s setups into free damage. Necrophos is also durable enough to survive being trapped or drawn in himself, healing through the focus fire with Death Pulse until he can retaliate. Where Ringmaster’s crowd control is meant to enable his allies, it ends up creating the perfect, extended fight scenario that Necrophos thrives in.

This problem gets worse as the game goes on. During teamfights, a successful trap by Ringmaster on one of your cores becomes an easy target for Reaper's Scythe. Necrophos doesn't need to work hard for positioning when the enemy support is literally holding his victims still for him. The only way for Ringmaster's team to succeed is to bring overwhelming burst from other heroes to kill Necrophos before he can get his spells off. Otherwise, Necrophos gets to punish every single one of Ringmaster’s attempts to control the fight.
