Necrophos vs Treant Protector

How this matchup plays

Thinking a big health pool and global heal will save you from Necrophos is a common trap. Heartstopper Aura is the problem; it constantly chips away at Treant Protector’s main strength, draining his health based on how much he has. This makes Living Armor feel more like a temporary patch than a real counter-heal. When a fight drags on, Necrophos wears down Treant and his entire team passively. Treant has no reliable way to stop this pressure or burst Necrophos down before the damage adds up, especially since Necrophos can use Ghost Shroud to dodge physical attackers who try to follow up on an Overgrowth.

This dynamic puts Treant on the back foot from the start. In lane, Necrophos can easily harass him and keep his own health high. Later, Treant wants to set up kills with Overgrowth, but Necrophos is happy to be the center of attention, draining everyone while he waits for a target to get low enough for Reaper's Scythe. Treant Protector himself often becomes the prime target for that ultimate. Treant’s team has to focus on magic burst and lockdown to kill Necrophos quickly, avoiding the long, grinding teamfights where he always comes out ahead.
