How this matchup plays

A direct fight between these two often comes down to who gets the jump. A well-timed Crippling Fear from Night Stalker can prevent Slardar from using his stun or Sprint to escape a gank. Without his abilities, Slardar is vulnerable to being burst down. On the other hand, if Slardar lands his Slithereen Crush first, the situation reverses. His Corrosive Haze strips away Night Stalker's natural tankiness, making him surprisingly easy for a team to focus and kill before he can fight back or flee.

The matchup often hinges on the time of day. At night, Night Stalker has the advantage in vision and movement, forcing Slardar to play much more cautiously and stick with his team.
