Night Stalker vs Sven

How this matchup plays

Applying Crippling Fear to Sven before he can pop his spells is the central goal for Night Stalker. A silenced Sven can’t use his stun, activate Warcry for armor, or use God's Strength to turn a fight, making him an easy target. On the other hand, Sven is a durable strength hero. If he weathers the initial silence or simply gets his abilities off first, he has more than enough health and damage to fight back. Once Sven gets his farm, he doesn't need much time to kill a Night Stalker who gets too close.

This matchup is a battle of timings. Night Stalker owns the night cycles, hunting a farming Sven and trying to delay his core items. Sven’s team needs to protect him, provide vision, and help him survive until he gets a Black King Bar. Once Sven has that BKB, Night Stalker's main tool for locking him down is gone. The game then depends on whether Night Stalker's team built a large enough lead from his early aggression, or if Sven is now strong enough to run over them in teamfights.
