Night Stalker vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Picking Tiny into an enemy Night Stalker is a risky choice that can backfire badly. Tiny is completely dependent on his Avalanche and Toss spell combo to function, but Night Stalker’s Crippling Fear is a long-duration silence that disables him entirely. A silenced Tiny can't initiate, can't deal his burst damage, and can't even use Toss to save himself or an ally. Because Night Stalker excels at hunting isolated heroes, he can easily find a farming Tiny and remove him from the fight before he can contribute anything at all.

This pressure starts at the first night cycle and defines the rest of the match. Night Stalker can make it his job to repeatedly gank Tiny, starving him of the resources he needs to become a threat. The Tiny player is forced to play defensively and rush an early Black King Bar, delaying his core items and power spikes. Meanwhile, Night Stalker is free to dictate the tempo, using Dark Ascension to create favorable fights where a silenced Tiny is little more than a large, slow creep.
