Nyx Assassin vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Using Swashbuckle or Rolling Thunder near a Nyx Assassin is a recipe for disaster. His Spiked Carapace will instantly reflect the first instance of damage and stun the Pangolier, often cancelling his ultimate or stopping an escape dead in its tracks. Because this reflect works even while Nyx is disabled, it’s incredibly difficult for Pangolier to play around. It effectively turns Pango’s most important spells into self-stuns if he's not extremely careful with his positioning. Nyx Assassin becomes a permanent minefield that Pangolier has to constantly track and avoid.

This dynamic forces the Pangolier to play a much more passive game. He can't reliably initiate or dive the back lines if Nyx is present, and he becomes a prime gank target. Nyx can proactively hunt with Vendetta, then use Impale to lock Pangolier down before he can even think about rolling away. The pressure is entirely on Pango to somehow bait out Carapace with a different hero's spell or avoid Nyx entirely, which severely limits his impact on any fight.
