Nyx Assassin vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Picking a burst-damage hero like Tiny is a gamble that the enemy team lacks a direct counter. Nyx Assassin is that counter. Tiny relies on his Avalanche and Toss combo to delete a target, but Spiked Carapace turns that entire sequence back on him with a stun and heavy damage. This makes it incredibly risky for Tiny to use his main tools if Nyx is anywhere nearby. To make matters worse, Mana Burn is highly effective against a hero with expensive spells, often leaving Tiny without enough resources to even attempt a kill.

This dynamic forces the Tiny player to be hesitant for the entire game. He can’t confidently blink onto a target because a hidden Nyx Assassin makes him a danger to himself. Vendetta provides an easy way for Nyx to scout, find, and help burst down the Tiny before he can contribute to a fight. Tiny’s only real options are to build a Black King Bar much earlier than he wants to or to avoid fighting altogether and split push, which puts his own team at a disadvantage.
